Old Town of Galle and its Fortifications


Old Town of Galle and its Fortifications was done by Portuguese in the 16th century.  Galle Fort is an amazing old fortress site in Sri Lanka and its fortification is unique and surprising. Galle Fort is the best example of the fortified cities built by Europeans in Asia.  Further it highlights the interactions between European Architecture and Asian traditions mix with South Asian styles.

Sinharaja Forest Reserve
