Yala National Park


Yala National Park is the second largest National Park in Sri Lanka and it is renowned for wildlife, specially elephants and coastline with coral reefs.  The variety of ecosystems ranging from Moist Monsoon Forest System to Dry Monsoon Forests, Grasslands, Fresh Water and Sandy Beaches.  It includes large number of plant species and small animals.  Yala National Park consists of five blocks. In addition to elephants there are Sri Lankan Leopards, Deer, Wild Bores and Crocodiles.

Mahapelessa Hot Springs


Mahapelessa Hot Springs also known as Madunagala Hot Springs like other hot springs, contains medicinal properties.  In ancient Sri Lanka Buddhist Monks who lived in caves have used these medicinal hot springs for their body and skin ailments.

Mirijjawila Botanical Garden


Mirijjawila Botanic Garden is the dry zone botanical garden in Sri Lanka.  The garden is popular for dry zone trees, shrubs and  medicinal herbs.  In addition the garden consists of many ornamental flowers and commercial flowers.

Kumana National Park


Kumana National Park is one of the best and popular bird watching destinations in the world.  The Kumana National Park is very special because it includes about twenty lagoons. During the period from April to June thousands of birds migrate to Kumana and collect about 255 species of birds annually. Regular sightings of birds are  pelicans, painted storks, spoonbills, white ibis, herons, egrets and little cormorants.
